Artistic Process

My art is exclusively hand-cut using found vintage books and magazines and is never rendered or edited with photoshop or computer software. The process of collage making is Sourcing, Cutting, Placing and Gluing. The final print process includes Scanning and Printing at various sizes in my studio in Old Hickory Village.

Commissions

Commissions are a big part of my business. I highly recommend finding a personalization technique that fits your small business.

Being a pop-up vendor, I take advantage of my face-to-face time with my clientele at every event. If you listen, people will tell you what they want and how to make your business better.

For instance, I have a very popular print, ‘Somebody’s Watching Me” and the first question asked about it is, “Is that your cat?’ The answer always was no. Then, most people would ask if it could be their cat. Sure!

That’s how it started. I just said “Yes” to what people told me they wanted. Now, I charge $100+ per pet collage. At my height, I do 4-5 a week.
